:) Sweet Week!

Elder Loveless and Elder Eller with President and Sister Cleveland

So much has happened :) So Heather is committed to baptism on the 9th of November :) and Eric is working towards it :) I want to relay an experience I had last week.

I was kneeling down in prayer and was feeling prompted to pray for Heather, and I didn't know why...I then wake up at 620 to see this text..."I found myself not being able to sleep for 3 hours. But I was woken suddenly. I felt a sense of power and urge to read a certain area in the Book of Mormon. Moroni spoke to me, I was looking through the names of the books and a very strong urge in my heart and mind told me to read the last book. I read the very last chapter, suddenly I started to cry and prayed to God. "Tell me this is true, Please God." I felt a warm feeling around me like someone was there holding me, comforting me. I let the feeling go on. I wasn't afraid. I believe I was touched and reassured by the Lord...I am overjoyed, I never have felt anything like this before. I know this is where I belong. He is my light and I will forever praise him."

This gospel is so amazing! This gospel produces miracles for the faithful and willing heart! I know that the Book of Mormon is true that it is the word of God. I know He lives just as Heather does for I to have felt that love and comfort of my Father! We are a blessed people!

Elder Loveless with Elder Buck and Elder Mathias at a Zone Conference
We have been anti-ed a ton this past week but it reassures me that God lives. For he loves us and is not willing to allow us to be succumbed by this evil when we are striving to work towards him! He lives! I know that with all my heart! He has comforted me in many times of need and even when I have felt overwhelmed just as the sons of Mosiah...this gospel is so amazing! I love my Savior for I know He suffered for us all! And I love the scripture in John 5: 20. Everything our Savior does, our Father has showed Him and has done Himself. It makes me think of the home...our parents teach us the way of the Lord...it is coming to the point where the Home HAS to be the MTC. I will forever be thankful for my parents making my home a MTC so that I would be ready for the work of the Lord. Love you mom and dad with all my heart! We are so lucky to have earthly parents, but more blessed than ever to have Heavenly parents and a brother to show us the way!

Love you all,

Elder Loveless

YEEEEEEAA

This last week was sooooooooooo good! So you know how I told you we had prayed for a referral and we received one??? Well we went and contacted Heather last Tuesday, she told us she was interested because she loved David Archuleta and admired the light about him and wanted to know more about Mormonism. She said she had been praying for the right church and this is the only one that sounded right. The spirit was so strong, I felt it direct me to say, “Heather, I promise you in the name of Jesus Christ that you have found that very church. This is what our Father wants for you, and I know with all my heart you will find so much peace and happiness within it." It was such an amazing lesson! Tracting for 5 straight hours 3 days in a row with 95 degree weather and humidity was so worth every bit to receive a text like this saying,

"Hey this is Heather who you met with today at 4. I just really want to thank you both so much for the guidance and support you showed me today. There is nothing more I want than to be closer and fully connected with God. As I mentioned I have always believed, but there was always something missing, I really have been blessed in becoming to know religion. I may not know much yet but I feel this sense of peace in my soul. And happiness when I read about it like never before. I guess the reason I was so influenced by David Archuleta was his smile. It had a sense of joy, you could just tell within it that he had the Lord in him. He is blessed and I believe that is because he is on that exact path God wants us to all be on. If it wasn't for him I probably never would have known this religion and I feel the way I do now. And if it wasn't for you guys, I wouldn't have known the truth either. I look forward to learning more, and to see you both again Friday. Thank you for helping me find the Lord within the true Gospel. I could not be any happier than I am now, and my biggest thanks goes to you both."

That is what this work is about, and I testify that we all can have these experiences. I add my testimony to Heather’s that this gospel is what brings us the true joy in this life. This is His work and the work is coming to the end! We must do all we can to help all we come in contact with. I know my Father answers my prayers, because we needed heather more than she needs us.

One last thing, recent events this last week made me come across a quote from Elder Scott. "Father in Heaven saved His greatest, most splendid creation, Woman, for the End...only then was the work pronounced complete." I am so grateful for the women in my life! This church would not be where it is if it wasn't for the women in our lives. May we all truly love and cherish the sweet women that are in our lives!
Sorry this is so long,
Love you all, I know this is true,

Hello!

So not a ton has happened. Since opening a new area, we are starting from scratch and have been working really hard on finding. Since we are not able to have a car or bike, we walk everywhere...haha love it! Well we have literally talked to every person we see. When we found a couple, we went and were talking to them about the Plan of Happiness, and Gods love. The husband and wife stopped us in mid-sentence and said, “We have reasoned that we don't need religion and that there is no God." With an aching heart I told them,” I am so sorry." We then left them with a card.

We CANNOT reason that there is no God. He is there, why would we ever deny such a perfect deity that has given us all that we have! I know that he lives. I know that.

So I felt prompted this last week to tell Elder Eller that we needed to pray for referrals...well as we have, and done so with faith, we received 2 this morning! I know that our Father hears and answers our prayers! This is the true church!

Oh and by the way, according to the kids here in Bloomington I am Elder Loverless...haha it has a ring to it. Dad we should start a new name so that people can make fun of us! Haha Love you all so very much!

:) So Excited :)

Elder Eller and Elder Loveless
So on Wednesday Elder Eller (MTC Comp.) and I were sitting next to each other, and were contemplating what might happen. President reads my name and states that I would be serving in Bloomington in the University ward with Elder Eller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were so excited beyond explanation. I feel bad, we were the loudest elders in the chapel...President laughed at us and then said the Lord has special things in store for you two. We then came to the conclusion that we don't have our own debit cards for food, driving privilages and bikes...haha we are going old school in Bloomington. Opening a new area is fun but hard. It is also nice because you have no idea who has been talked to, so....you talk with everyone.
The hardest thing is we teach a lot of college students, and if the students are progressing we have to hand them over to the Zone leaders since they cover the campus and YSA branch. So most of our investigators are ours for but a short time. But I am serving with my cous...Elder Sperry! He is an outstanding missionary :) so excited to work with him!
Elder Eller and I had an interesting experience, we were praying about what to study, so we decided to study, questions of the soul in Chapter 5 of Preach My Gospel...we then later were talking with some college students, and their questions were all answered with the spirit of the Book of Mormon :) I add my testimony to Doctrine and Covenants 17:6 "...as your Lord and God liveth it is true." I know they live and that the Book is true. It is the keystone to our religion. it does in fact hold the fullness of the Gospel. I love this work so much.
Elder Eller and I spent all of yesterday in Indy because his sister that served in San Jose was getting engaged and his future brother in law got permission from president to have us go and see her. It was the first time in almost two years! way cool experience :) we got to see the War Memorial! I have some pictures to send! Love you all so very much,
Love,
Elder Loveless

:) ello!

So we got a call from president last night about transfers! Elder Rigby is staying to train, and President told me he had a special assignment for me...who knows maybe I will go to a Spanish area or something! I have no idea what to expect! I’ll let you all know next week :)
It will be hard to leave this area, this last week we started out with one investigator committed and now we have 5, with another progressing and 8 other investigators! We are also meeting with 10 or so less actives a week! It has been awesome and I will miss it! But I know we are meant to go where the lord intends for us to go!
So an interesting experience last week, I got to go on exchanges to the Spanish are in south bend (supper ghetto) and we had some appointments and they understood Portuguese, so I started to help give the lessons in Portuguese and Spanish! It was so sweet! My heart longs to teach in Portuguese, when I do there is a different spirit that I feel that I can’t explain! But I know just as the apostle Paul states to the romans that trials a tribulations worked patience and brunet experience! My time will come to go to Brazil but it is not this day! I love being a missionary wherever we serve! I still wish I would have been involved with this sacred work when I was home!
But a funny experience! We were in a Spanish home and I heard all about the new endowment video...we were trying to stop her and tell her that we shouldn’t talk about it...but every time we would she would stop us. I finally asked her if I could use the bathroom and if she could show me where it was... good thing she got side tracked easily! Ha-ha man! Needless to say I know the video will be amazing!

But we were able to give talks in church yesterday and part of my talk was based off of something elder Ballard said about missionary experiences! He said when finding someone for the missionaries to teach, don’t think of people to have them teach, rather set a deadline up ahead and pray for the lord to place someone in your path. As you do that you will always find someone for the missionaries to teach, if you are prepared and willing to have faith! Such an amazing promise I know that is true it happens every day as a missionary, but I have come to realize that it too can happen when I am not set a part as an elder! Man I love being able to serve my father and my savior! I could not ask for anything else! I have found myself but more importantly I have found my father and savior! And it will forever change me!

I love you all! Thank you for everything! Love,
Elder Loveless

:) Up here in the outskirts of the Indiana mission!

Elder Rigby and Elder Loveless
So, Elder Rigby is awesome! He is from Layton, Utah, and is in his last week of training now! He is awesome and is a really good teacher! I’m excited to work with him :) love the Elder!

So...it really is huge up here! We have about 7 different main towns to work in in the Niles area, and each is about 30-45 minutes from our home, but it is awesome! We are working a lot with less actives and helping them feel of our Fathers love again. It is so sad to see others fall away. It is so important for all to know that it is not only us as members that want them back but our savior is pleading for them to come back. That is why missionaries and home teachers are so important in the work of the Lord! We need to find the 1 lost sheep and bring them back to the love that they have been missing.

We had an awesome lesson with a new investigator Tasha! It was awesome we established our purpose and taught her about the Book of Mormon. She accepted it, and she accepted the invitation to be baptized! I can’t even begin to describe the joy that comes from knowing that someone is willing to follow our Savior. When people say it feels as if someone is ripping my heart out and smashing it! It is so sad to see others decline the gospel.

Hoooooolly cow there are a ton of Seventh Day Adventists up here...yup!

In my reading this morning I was reading in Alma 29, and I to feel as Alma does that I could "speak with a voice of thunder." sometimes I wish we could just shake people to wake them up with a voice of thunder. It is so sad to see others reject our savior. But later on he describes how much he has seen success. Not just of himself but success of others! Oh how I love seeing others come unto Christ! I love working with less actives and helping them see what they are missing or haven't seen before! What a beautiful opportunity we have to be on the earth in this day in age and help others see the light not the darkness!

Love you all so very much!

"Elder Holland came to a stake here in Indiana, president told us what he said,” the future of the church in Indiana is in your hands. Open your mouth and talk to everyone."" that is how it should be throughout the world. We all need to be bolder in opening our mouths of the restored gospel :) that is our calling as members."

Michigan!

Aug 12, 13

So crazy experience last night... I was kneeling down and ending a fast, and I was praying that Elder Eller and Elder Priest and anyone else that is waiting for their visas that whatever the problem was that it would be cleared up...well right as I finished that part the phone rang by my head and it was President Cleveland...my heart dropped... he said, "Hello Elder Loveless, I wish this was about your visa, but it’s not. We have an assignment for you, Elder Switzer is coming this Wednesday and an elder is going home 2 weeks early for school and we need you to pack up your things and bring them on Wednesday. You will be training Elder Rigby until you go to Brazil. You will for sure be here till the end of the transfer. You will be in the Southbend zone, serving in Niles, Michigan. Guess you will be serving in three places.” I love President Cleveland. I am so excited to be able to serve in that area until I leave. It is going to be so hard to leave the people I have grown to love so much here in greenwood. It feels as if someone is ripping my heart out. I feel very fortunate to be his servant where ever I go.

So we had a really good week last week, we found 2 new investigators, and we have one working towards baptism. It is so amazing to see the work go forward and progress the way it is. I love being able to talk to everyone we see and share the profound message of the restored gospel and the eternal blessing from our dear Savior! I came to a scripture that touched my heart, it is in 3 Nephi 5: 13 "Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of HIM to declare HIS word among HIS people, that they might have everlasting life." how profound is that. I will regret it every day for not being a missionary when I was at home. We are all called to this work some of us are blessed to dedicate 18 months to 2 years to declare His word, but what I have looked over is we are called to declare his word our entire life. Our Father and Savior have done more for us than we can ever comprehend, and I know I can do more. Sharing the Gospel may seem difficult at first or can be scary, but I have not once had any regret to share my testimony of the blessings of the Gospel. Even to those who reject it. How great is our calling!

Well I have some packing to do, and some goodbyes to make! Love you all! Thank you so much for all that you do for me.
